Father,
give me the most beautiful, the

He is the Saviour.

He is the Bread of Life.

He is the infinite Richness.
Father,

Biographical notes
on Don Serafino Falvo
Don Serafino Falvo was born in Amato in the Province of
Catanzaro. Sensing a vocation to the priesthood, from a tender age,
he studies with the Salesians at Gaeta and then joined the
Pontifical nel Seminary in Reggio Calabria. He was ordained a
priest on 15th July 1945
in the diocese of Lamezia Terme, where he was parish priest.
Attracted by the idea of being a missionary, he
was appointed as chaplain to the Italian immigrantes in England,
and then, for ten year, he held an important position as ship’s
Chaplain on the cruise ships in the Carribbean sea. During this
latter period he met the founders of the World Charismatic Renewal
in America and the fire of the Holy Spirit, used him, as
parish priest of the world, to help christians rediscover the mering
of the Pentecost.
He started his charismatic mission in our diocese of Fiesole,
more precisely in 1981 at the Sanctuary “Madonna del Sasso” ,
where he founded the first charismatic community “Gesù Amore” (Jesus
Love).
Our Lady blessed the charismatic mission of this favorite son of
hers. The risults were many conversion and healings performed in
the Jesus’name.
Adding the numbers of the faithful, the Holy Spirit inspired
him to look for a bigger enviroument which Divine Providence
enabled him to locate in 1989 in the area of “Massolina of Pelago”
on the “Via Aretina”.
Here too the premises soon proved limited so that the Lord Jesus
widned his “tents” to welcome thousands of people who always
found comfort, and health and whose faith grew, thanks to the
charismatics prayers of this ardent apostle of our times.
On 4th April 2002, two days after the birth to heaven
of Don Serafino, as Mary our Mother says, the Bishop S. E. Mons.
Luciano Giovannetti said in his homily : ” He warmed our hearts
because he himself was a living word(…). He himself became the
broken bread, spendine his whole life for Jesus Christ and for his
fellow man”. |
